KANYE WEST IS ROUGH-HOUSINGKanye West is a very bold personality. Kanye has a lot of confidence in his abilities. The only thing he’s more confident about is that he’s the best person alive or dead. Well, that has nothing to do with this picture, but his attitude doesn’t help clean up his image. In 2008, Kanye got into trouble for a photographer. He allegedly broke a camera and was arrested for it. For us, the most important moment came when West was photographed and filmed running after another photographer. Photos of West struggling for paparazzo (Britney’s own Ramos and umbrella fame) went viral and left people with an even worse taste in their mouths over Kanye.
MICHAEL RICHARDS IS TROUBLEYou’re right, it was a video that got Michael Richards from Seinfeld in trouble. You caught us. But how can we talk about moments of unsurpassed celebrities without talking about Richards’ racist diatribe in 2006? It shocked everyone. Richards, on stage at Laugh Factory, was being interrupted. Instead of dealing with him with humor or ignoring him completely, Richards temporarily lost his mind. He unleashed racist insults and seemed to be on the verge of a psychotic break. Not only did he ruin his entire career, but he damaged the reputation of one of the television greats forever.
MARTIN LAWRENCE IS GOING BANANAAlthough he was going to do Bad Boys 2 and several other successful films after this time, Martin Lawrence was forced to fight the perception that he was a little crazy for a while. This is all about the photos and a video, as well as the accompanying police report, of Lawrence on the street screaming at cars. Suffering from what the doctors said was total exhaustion, Lawrence screamed at cars and pedestrians as he allegedly carried a loaded gun in his pocket. He was shouting things like “fight the system.” Years later, even Dave Chappelle would comment on Lawrence’s bizarre breakup, blaming him for Hollywood pressures.
AL FRANKEN IS AN ACTOR Franken is both a comedian and a politician. The former SNL cast member was one of the vocal supporters of the Me Too movement in Hollywood and elsewhere, but then things came back to his face. A film was released by Franken from 2006 when he was performing as part of a USO show with troops. The photo shows Franken assaulting a soldier in his sleep. According to the woman in the photo, this wasn’t Franken’s only crime either. He would later publish the following statement when facing the photo:
“For example, that picture. I don’t know what was in my head when I took that picture, and it doesn’t matter. There’s no excuse. I look at it now and I feel disgusted with myself. It’s not funny. It’s completely inappropriate. It’s obvious how Leeann would feel violated by that picture. And, what’s more, I can see how millions of other women would feel raped by her – women who have had similar experiences in their own lives, women who fear having those experiences, women who admire me, women who have counted on me.”
